Creditor insurance allows customers to protect against the unforeseen. There are a number of different types of policy, but in general they cover the customers’ regular outgoings against accident, sickness and unemployment, and ensure that if one of these events reduces their income, they can continue to make some or all of their repayments. Some policies also pay out in the event of critical illness or death.
